The Muskies are set to begin play at the 111th Annual National Amateur Baseball Federation Charles Blackburn World Series beginning on Wednesday night.  After long tenures in Louisville, KY and Battle Creek, MI, the series will play for the second consecutive year in Chicago's western suburbs.

 

The Muskies and Lombard Orioles are the two host teams in the series which will also feature the 2024 champion Buffalo, NY Diesel and 2023 champion Berea Blue Sox.  Other participants include the Hackensack, NJ regional winner Hackensack Troast, Ft. Wayne, IN regional champion Ft. Wayne Jackers, Portland, IN regional champion Portland Rockets, New Lenox, IL regional winner Addison Braves, Youngstown, OH regional winner Cleveland Indians, MIchigan regional winner Midland Tribe, Buffalo, NY regional winner Erie Buffalo and Ft. Wayne regional runner up Chicago Clout.

 

The 12 team World Series features 3 pools of 4 teams who will play each other beginning Wednesday night with two games at Wheat College's Lee Pfund Field.  Following pool play, the top 6 teams advance to a single elimination bracket with the top two seeds coming out of pool play recei
