My friends are getting so turned off by this game because of the contrast of awesome action and super lame characters and cut scenes in a non story driven game.

They are unnecessarily long, detract from the experience, and they do not add anything of value or relevance at all to the game.

I've had far too many friends buy this game on sale, comment on how beautiful it was, and never progress past 10 hours of gameplay.

The monster introductions and kill/capture ones are totally fine because they have always been a part of the series...but 10 years ago when I was playing MH Freedom...I never remember feeling frustrated that I was forced to watch literal HOURS of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t

I would honestly rather stare at a loading screen than have to watch the cut scenes ever again.

They are preventing a pretty decent chunk of players from enjoying this game.

Please update your game and allow us to skip the cut scenes.
They are worthless and they should not be forced on us.

How to skip and rewatch cutscenes in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds
has a pretty cool system for the cutscenes, as you can skip and rewatch them whenever you want.

The cutscenes represent a vast part of the gameplay as they help you understand the main campaign’s lore and story. There are plenty of scenes of cinematic beauty that tell you more about Nata and what happened with his tribe. While you can save time by skipping them in the first place, there’s an easy way to rewatch any cutscenes you want as long as you have unlocked them in the first place.

How to skip cutscenes in Monster Hunter Wilds

Skipping a cutscene is pretty simple, although I was briefly confused when playing on my PS5. Unless you have changed the default controls, you can skip a cutscene by pressing the
Y button on a keyboard
and the
back button on your controller
. If you’re on PS5 like me, the skip option is utilized by pressing the
big Touchpad
in the middle (this was the confusing part for me).

To skip, you’ll have to press the button for at least a
few seconds
. When it comes to conversations, the options are far more limited. Unlike a cutscene,

Unskippable cutscenes can be rather annoying, especially if you’ve already played through the Story Mode once already. Can you jump past these tidbits of story in Monster Hunter: World, or are you stuck watching the mini-movies?

Is There A Way To Skip Cutscenes in Monster Hunter: World?

If you’re playing on a console, there is no way to skip the Monster Hunter: World cutscenes. They want to see what is unfolding in the story, and there isn’t a way to skip over them, even if you make a new character. On PC, however, there is a
mod available
that will allow you to skip over the story and just get right into the action.

There are a few choice cutscenes that can be skipped in the game, such as the cutscenes from sieges and repeatable missions, but Main Story cutscenes are a requirement to view. While this may be slightly obnoxious, the story of Monster Hunter: World is rather enjoyable so you won’t need to worry too much on that front. At least you can pause the cutscenes, unlike the main game, so you can step away for a minute after defeating a giant monster in the hunt of your life.

Will this feature ever come to the game? It’s unlikely
