Forgotten World Adventures

Forgotten World Adventures are experts in guided experiences through one of the most spectacularly beautiful and remote locations in New Zealand known as the 'Forgotten World'. Each experience features an iconic self-driven guided rail cart journey on the decommissioned 142km long historic Stratford-Okahukura Line (SOL) between Taumarunui and Stratford, complete with its 24 hand-built tunnels and 90+ bridges. The region is steeped in history and cultural significance; immerse yourself in passionate storytelling whilst venturing through backcountry ghost towns, pristine native bush, rugged hills and deep hidden valleys.

Experiences can also include a jet boat ride along the Whanganui River (including the longest commercial jet boat ride in the Southern Hemisphere), helicopter flight over the Whanganui National Park and visits to the Republic of Whangamōmona and Bridge to Nowhere amongst other landmarks and attractions.
