Marucci World Series begins in Baton Rouge


The 9th Annual Marucci World Series held its opening ceremonies on Sunday at Alex Box Stadium, featuring a tailgate party and other festivities outside the ballpark.

The tournament will take place at 25 sites across Southeast Louisiana—from Baton Rouge to Hammond, West Feliciana, Donaldsonville, and several locations in between—and runs from Monday through Friday.

Sunday’s opening ceremonies included a Home Run Derby, a Fastest Man Contest, and a display of the Marucci World Series championship trophies. As an added bonus, the 2023 and 2025 NCAA Division I College World Series Championship trophies, won by the LSU Tigers, were also on display.

The event showcases youth baseball teams ranging from 14U to 17U, competing in some of the best amateur baseball action in the country. Participation is by invitation only.

The 2025 Marucci World Series will feature 127 teams from 16 states, along with one team from South Korea.

The Championship Round Semi Final Games and Final Games on Friday are set for the four age groups at the following sites:

The invite-only Marucci World Series is a competitive youth baseball tournament comprised of Marucci Franchise Club and Founders’ Club organizations. These teams are an alliance of elite travel baseball organizations in long-term partnerships with Marucci that are committed to excellence on-and-off the field, have positive reputations of service in their communities, and align with the brands’ core values.

Continuing 10 years of collaboration, 2DSports will again serve as the logistics partner for the MWS, managing event operations including player registrations, game scheduling, score updates, weather delays, communication during the event and player data collection at each field.

Opening Ceremony

Baton Rouge, LA, July 19, 2025 --(PR.com)-- Marucci Sports will host 127 teams, from 16 states and South Korea, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the 9th Annual Marucci World Series, July 20 – 25, 2025. The invite-only youth baseball tournament showcases some of the best 14U through 17U baseball in the country.
