St. Petersburg Conference on World Affairs announces Ambassador Stuart Eizenstat as 2025 Keynote Speaker

Ambassador Stuart Eizenstat will deliver the keynote address to open the 13th annual St. Petersburg Conference on World Affairs on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
The keynote speech on diplomacy and international agreements will launch the 2025 St. Pete Conference, themed “The Ties That Bind Us.” Ambassador Eizenstat, who served as the United States Ambassador to the European Union from 1993 to 1996 and as the United States Deputy Secretary of the Treasury from 1999 to 2001, will be interviewed about his 2024 book,
The Art of Diplomacy

Other highlights of the upcoming conference include Featured Speaker Frank Langfitt, NPR Roving National Correspondent, presenting on February 12, and on February 13, General Frank McKenzie, Director of USF’s Global and National Security Institute, will welcome the Ambassador of Bahrain to the U.S., Shaikh Abdullah Bin Rashid Al Khalifa for a Fireside Chat.

Global affairs conference explored how artificial intelligence is changing the world

Distinguished speakers from around the world discussed issues related to international relations, business, culture and climate change through the lens of artificial intelligence at the largest conference on global affairs in the Tampa Bay region.
The St. Petersburg Conference on World Affairs, in partnership with USF's Global and National Security Institute, brought together diplomats, lawyers, journalists, business leaders and thousands of community members to provide a global and local perspective on the world's biggest challenges.
The hybrid conference took place at USF St. Petersburg from February 6-8. This year's theme, "Rethinking," explored how artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the world and its impacts from national security and risk management to art and disseminating information. Other topics included how U.S. politics is viewed by foreign observers, the relevancy of monarchies, erosion of the rule of law and democracy and civility.
